Jeannette Graham of Weston feels the most dangerous roads in town are the windy ones such as Godfrey Road West.
"People cross through the middle of the road, and the bridge by Pent Road is too narrow," said Graham.
Although it may be difficult to see and drive on narrow, windy roads, the roads that see the most accidents are the more heavily traveled ones, said Weston Police Chief John Troxell.
Since he began working in Weston, there have been at least three fatalities on Georgetown Road. Most recently, about 18 months ago, a 25-year-old father from Bridgeport was killed in a crash near Samuelson Road.
Since 2002, 323 accidents have occurred on Weston Road, 221 accidents on Newtown Turnpike and 242 accidents on Georgetown Road, out of a total of 1,999 accidents in Weston.
In 1981, there was a triple-fatal accident at Good Hill and Cartbridge roads. At Weston Road and River Road, a young girl was killed. And there have been three fatal accidents on Newtown Turnpike. Two fatalities have been seen on Lyons Plain Road, and a man on a motorcycle was killed on Valley Forge Road.
