Newly elected board members of the Weston Women's League were sworn in Wednesday, June 8, at the organizations annual installation dinner at the Aspetuck Valley Country Club.
The bard members are: President Heather Pemberton Levy, Vice Presidents Fundraising Anne Bigin and Michelle Zwack, Vice President Membership Stacey Tucker, Vice President Community Outreach/Long Range Planning Debby Katz, Vice President Community Activities Kim Forte, Vice President Communications and Publicity Amy Meyerson, Vice President Philanthropy Julie Baisley, Secretary Kim Summers, Treasurer Dena Tunney and Immediate Past President Tammy Roberts.
Awards were given for volunteerism as well as to members celebrating milestones. The league honored Annmarie McDonald as Member of the Year and Debbie Olsen as New Member of the Year.
The Weston Women's League works to promote a sense of community through volunteerism, fundraising and social events. Members have many interests and talents and combine them to make a difference for women, children and families in need.
The league also hosts social outings and welcomes community volunteers to join in its events, including the Weston Farmers' Market, Children's Holiday Breakfast, Breast Cancer Walk, UNICEF collection and Thanksgiving Blood Drive.
