You will be introduced to some of the enigmatic creatures that live in and around these ephemeral wetlands. Meet a variety of creatures, likely including spotted salamanders, a spotted turtle, gray tree frogs and more.

Where: Devil's Den Vernal Pool
What: Devil's Den Vernal Pool Field Trip with the Friends of the Weston Library. Join Chris Evers, Animal Embassy guest naturalist, on an adventure to a unique habitat, the vernal pool. Discover some of the unique creatures, such as Wood frogs, American toads and Spotted salamanders, that visit these pools once a year to lay their eggs. On the walk, participants will investigate how these creatures have progressed in their metamorphosis.
