Morgan Luminoso walked up and down the middle of Weston Road before the parade came through on Monday. The rain stopped and the hot sun beat down on the crowd. Some Westonites used their umbrellas for shade to keep cool.
Sam Hensinger, 7, and his father, Michael, sat on Norfield Road to watch the parade go by. Sam said his favorite part of the parade was the candy -- and there was a lot of it. Many different organizations threw handfuls and handfuls of lollipops, caramels, chocolates and more to the crowd lining the streets.
Sports teams, school bands, committees, the selectmen, veterans, fire trucks, the ambulance, policemen, martial arts groups, girl scouts, boy scouts and many more marched from School Road to Weston Road and ended at the Town Hall on Monday for a ceremony.
