WESTON, Conn. In an effort to bring awareness about the food that we eat, the Weston Committee for Sustainability , along with Friends of the Weston Public Library , will hold a screening this evening of the documentary film, Food Inc.
The film examines how our food is produced and how those methods will affect the American diet in the future.
This film will be the first in a series on food and water to be shown monthly at the Weston Public Library through June. Such issues will include: how to eradicate ticks and other pests without using harmful pesticides on lawns and gardens; how best to recycle; how genetically modified foods affect our bodies; and how plastic bags affect our environment, among other issues.
The screening begins at 7 p.m. in the community room of the Weston Public Library.
