WESTON, Conn. — As the Weston Historical Society prepares for its house-tour event this spring, it will hold its annual meeting on Sunday, March 29, at 4 p.m. at the Weston Public Library, 56 Norfield Road.

Members of the group and the public are invited to attend the meeting.

There will be a brief business meeting followed by a reception. Dallas Kersey, the historical society's president, will present highlights of the past year and talk about plans and events for the new year.

The society is launching an extensive program this spring. “Landmark Homes of Weston” will feature an exhibition at the museum, house tour, and related lectures and films.

“We are very honored that Susan and Jose Feliciano will be serving as co-chairs of this program,” said Kersey.

The house tour, “Landmark Homes of Weston,” on Sunday, May 3 will feature some of Weston's most beautiful and interesting homes across four centuries, the 1700s through today.

The “Landmark Homes of Weston” will also include the following:

  • The program will begin with an exhibition in the Museum on April 26 that will run two and one-half months through to July 16. Included will be photographs of classic Weston homes and the families that built them, examples of tools and building materials used and a perspective of many famous celebrities who chose to live in Weston.
  • The House Tour is scheduled for May 3, it will include six or more significant homes spanning four centuries of life in Weston. This tour will begin at 11:30 am with a brunch at the historic Cobb’s Mill Inn and end with a reception at the Coley Homestead, home of Weston Historical Society. Refreshments will be served.
  • The program will feature a series of five lectures and films/documentaries that relate to architectural history in Weston. Lectures will be held at the Historical Society and the films at the Weston Library.
