A travel toothbrush container stuffed in a sock: According to Weston police , that's where three marijuana cigarettes were found on a Middlebury resident on Jan. 3.
The police report said the man was pulled over for speeding on Lyons Plain Road. When the officer approached the vehicle, he detected a "strong odor of burnt marijuana."
The man told the officer he had smoked a joint and had no more contraband, the report stated. Upon further inspection, the officer recovered the three marijuana cigarettes. One of the burnt joints was tested with a Narcotics Analysis Regent Kit, and it confirmed the presence of marijuana, the report stated. The man was charged with DUI and marijuana possession and was released on a $200 bond. He was issued a warning for speeding.
