I am so honored to have been selected as a finalist for this Martha Stewart search among small business owners, Marchese said. Our votes are starting to gain in movement, and I am so appreciative of everyones support. The timing is perfect because September is National Honey Month.
Marchese has lived in Weston for 17 years and operated her apiary for 13 years. Shes the author of Honey Bee: Lessons from an Accidental Bee Keeper that tells the story of how she was introduced to bee keeping by a Weston neighbor and went on to start an apiary that now features 16 backyard hives where Marchese produces a variety of gourmet honeys, honey soap, bees wax lip balm and candles.
The American Made Awards will honor 10 small business owners. A grand prize winner will be honored at an event in New York City and receive $10,000.
