Westport resident Ward Kaye of 1391 Post Road E. found himself in double trouble with Westport police last week. Kaye, 46, was arrested Thursday afternoon on a warrant for charges stemming from a domestic dispute earlier this month in which Kaye allegedly grabbed his wife by the throat during an argument. When Kaye was arrested, police found a marijuana pipe with marijuana residue in his possession. Kaye is charged with third-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is due in court Oct. 27 for both cases.

? Harold Curran of 5 Nassau Road, Westport, was arrested Thursday night after hitting his date in the face several times while they were out at River House Tavern at 299 Riverside Ave., police said. Curran, 53, left the restaurant, but police found him a short distance away. He was charged with third-degree assault and is due in court Oct. 27.
? Stamford resident Jeffrey George turned himself in to Westport police Wednesday because the department held a warrant for his arrest. The warrant stems from a July misuse of plates arrest in which George, 24, failed to appear. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 1.
