Update: Vermont Pair Face New Charges

Westport police haven't linked a couple from Vermont to the burglary of a Forest Drive home on Aug. 9, police Capt. Sam Arciola said. But police have identified two more car theft victims in burglaries in which the couple is suspected.

Earl Rosen IV, 24, of Richmond, Vt., and Geneva Milne, 20, of Jericho, Vt., are suspected of breaking into seven cars in the Kings Highway North area on Aug. 13. With the most recent victims identified, police have five confirmed car thefts.

The two were arrested Aug. 13 after police received a call of "suspicious people" walking the Kings Highway North neighborhood. Responding officers saw a pickup truck leave the area. When police stopped the truck on the Post Road, Rosen and Milne ran and were apprehended after a brief chase.

According to the state judicial website, Rosen faces five counts of sixth-degree larceny from a motor vehicle, five counts of conspiracy to commit, and five counts of third-degree burglary from a motor vehicle. Milne faces six counts of sixth-degree larceny, four counts of conspiracy to commit, and five counts of third-degree burglary.

Rosen is being held at Bridgeport Correctional Center on $50,000 bond. Milne is being held at York Correctional Institution on $10,000 bond.

They are due in court Sept. 8.
