WESTPORT, Conn. Two New York residents were arrested Wednesday in Westport after police discovered photos of what appeared to be a child restrained in a chair following an investigation that started with a reported dispute at a Bridge Street home, police said.
Officers were called to 28 Bridge St. Wednesday morning on a report of a domestic dispute between Manhattan resident Patrizio Arciola and Gerriely Delacruz, of Staten Island.
While investigating the complaint, officers learned Delacruzs 2-year-old son was present during the dispute, police said. Drugs were later found in the presence of the child, police said, and as a result, he was turned over to the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
Further investigation turned up photos of what appeared to be the child restrained in a chair with duct tape, police said.
Arciola, 34, and Delacruz, 23, both were charged with reckless endangerment, two counts of risk of injury to a child, disorderly conduct and first-degree unlawful restraint. Arciola was additionally charged with possession of narcotics.
They each were held on a $100,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
