"Twilight," Budgets Fill Out Weston's Week

WESTON, Conn. – Hey Weston, are you looking for something to do this week? There are several town meetings, including a Board of Selectmen Budget Workshop, a screening of the “Twilight Sage: Dawn Part 1” and Children’s Story Time rounding out the happenings around town this week. Here is the weekly rundown:

Tuesday, Feb. 14

7:30 p.m.: Board of Selectmen meets to discuss and possibly vote on First Selectman Gayle Weinstein's 2012-13 proposed budget . At Town Hall meeting room,  56 Norfield Road.

7:30 p.m.: The Conservation Commission will meet at the Town Hall Annex building, located at 24 School Road.

8 p.m.: Republican Town Committee meets at the Town Hall community room, located at 56 Norfield Road.

Wednesday, Feb. 15

10 a.m. & 2 p.m.: Parents can introduce their children to the world of reading at the Weston Public Library , located at 56 Norfield Road, during the Children’s Story Hour. The morning program is open to children who are 2, and the afternoon program is open to children who are 3. For more information, call Joy Beckwith at 203-222-2651.

7:30 p.m.: “ The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 ” will be shown at the Weston Public Library . The film, which is based on the popular novel by Stephanie Meyer, is rated PG-13 and follows Bella Swan as she falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen. The screening will be held at 56 Norfield Road.

7:30 p.m.: Board of Selectmen is tentatively scheduled to meet if it has not yet voted on the 2012-13 town budget. If a meeting is needed, it will be held at Town Hall in the meeting room, located at 56 Norfield Road.

7:30 p.m.: The Charter Revision Committee will meet at the Town Hall, located at 56 Norfield Road.

Thursday, Feb. 16

2 p.m.: Parents can introduce their children to the world of reading at the Weston Public Library , located at 56 Norfield Road, during the Children’s Story Hour. The program is open to children 4 and 5. For more information, call Joy Beckwith at 203-222-2651.
