FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. - A tornado watch is in effect in Fairfield County until 9 p.m., Saturday, the National Weather Service says. 

An tornado warning expired at 12:45 p.m.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecast for Fairfield County this afternoon and evening as a cold front moves through, the Weather Service says.
