Mimi Greenlee, chairwoman of the Westport Library book sale, was directing a crew of volunteers as they began putting up tents Monday. Stephen Frydrych was helping get the sides on.
"It's cheaper than a gym membership," said Frydrych as he fastened another section of draping tent to the poles and supports. He is back from the University of Wisconsin, where he studies accounting. Greenlee looked skyward and mentioned the heat was brutal. Fans were placed in the corners of the tents.
The Westport Library book sale kicks off Saturday on Jesup Green and continues through Tuesday, July 20.
