A report of a man acting in a strange manner in a Westport parking lot led to the arrest of Stamford resident Mark Garrett on Tuesday night.
Garrett, 46, was found in the parking lot of 1070 Post Road E., police said. When officers were speaking to Garrett, he reportedly tried to place his hand in his right front pocket multiple times. For their safety, the officers searched Garrett and found a pill bottle. Police said the bottle contained eight oxycodone pills, four temazepam pills and two seraquil pills. Garret was charged with possession of a controlled substance and is scheduled to appear in court April 29.
