A couple from New Haven was arrested in Westport early Wednesday after the car they were driving in was flagged as stolen, police said.
Police spotted Justin Booker, 25, and Jennifer Blackmer, 27, after they pulled into the BP gas station on Post Road East. A computer search on the car revealed it was reported stolen in Waterbury. Both Booker and Blackmer were taken into custody.
In searching the pair, police found two crack pipes one in Booker's possession and one in Blackmer's purse. A small plastic bag that contained crack cocaine was found in the passenger door compartment. Police later learned Blackmer was wanted by the West Haven Police Department on a second-degree failure to appear charge.
Blackmer and Booker each were charged with third-degree larceny, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Each was held overnight on $10,000 bond and arraigned in Norwalk court Thursday.
