There's a new assistant principal coming to town and Samuel Staples Elementary School has got her. Cheryl Mammen, who will take over her post on July 28, has been an inclusion specialist with the Shelton Public schools for the past six years, according to the Easton Courier. That position required her to evaluate all teachers in the three schools shes oversees.
Mammen will replace Carrie LaTorre, who whas been appointed as a principal in Wallingford.
