Laura Ramos, 31, of Milford, resigned from her teaching job the day after her arrest June 20. She is charged with second-degree sexual assault, accused of having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old male student from December until April, police said.

Police said Ramos admitted having sex with the student “a handful of times,” mostly in her car, according to the Connecticut Post.

The investigation began June 9, when Central High Principal Eric Graf called police and told officers that a teacher reported that a student said Ramos had been having sex with one of her students, according to the Post.
