Kyle Navin has been staying with friends in Westport, the Hour said.
Navin is believed to be the last person to see his parents — Jeffrey and Jeannette Navin of Easton — who have been missing since Aug. 4.
Their pickup truck was found Aug. 9 in a commuter parking lot off the Merritt Parkway in Westport.
The Connecticut Post reported last week that Kyle Navin had packed his car and taken off after being questioned by State Police in his Bridgeport home.
A State Police search for human remains at a landfill in Putnam was unsuccessful.
Kyle Navin works at J & J Refuse in Westport, where his father, Jeffrey Navin, 56, is president. Jeanette Navin, 55, works at the library at Weston Intermediate School as a paraprofessional.
