WESTPORT, Conn. – Several Westport businesses and community centers are closed or closing early Friday. Here's a list of closures, cancellations and early dismissals:

Helen Varaljay, 98, Formerly Of Westport

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Helen Varaljay of Fairfield died Sunday, June 16. She was 98.

Varaljay was born Aug. 10, 1914, in Manhattan, daughter of Helen and Joseph Eros. She graduated from Julia Richman High School. After she married in 1939, she moved to Connecticut, first to Black Rock, then Westport, before settling in Fairfield in 1955.
