Keenan Perez of White Plains, N.Y., was arrested early Wednesday after a patrolling officer spotted his car stopped in the middle of Post Road West. When the officer approached the car, he saw that the front end of the car was damaged.
In speaking with Perez, the officer smelled alcohol on his breath. It was later learned that Perez, 41, had hit a utility pole near 170 Post Road W. and continued driving until eventually stopping in the spot where the officer found him.
Perez refused breath tests but failed field sobriety tests. He was charged with operating under the influence, evading responsibility and failure to drive right. He is due in court April 7.
