In Westport, the number of races on the primary ballot today will depend on where the voter lives. Democratic and Republican voters in the 133rd District can cast ballots only in state primaries. Those in the 136th District will vote in both state and local primaries.
Democratic Registrar of Voters Marla Cowden said she expected the day to be busy.
"It's going to be hectic, especially in the morning when things get going," Cowden said. "It'll slow down in the afternoon. But in the evening, as we close the polls and post the results, it'll be hectic again."
In the 133rd District, five races appear on the Republican ballot. In the race for governor are Tom Foley, Michael Fedele, and Oz Griebel. Lieutenant governor candidates include Mark Boughton and Lisa Wilson-Foley. Vying for the U.S. Senate race are Linda McMahon, Peter David Schiff, and Rob Simmons.
