Breaking News: Suspect On Loose After Knifepoint Fairfield Convenience Store Robbery

Power Restored to Most in Town

Thousands who had lost power in Thursday's storm had their electricity back on by Saturday morning. United Illuminating Co. reported that about 1 percent, or 34 customers, still had no power as of 8:00 a.m. Crews worked to restore power throughout Friday night. At one point, 82 percent of the 2,869 town customers had lost power.

The Easton Police Department said there were no significant injuries or property damage reported, although many roads were closed for a time yesterday. Westport Road was one of the hardest hit areas.
