Power Outages Reported In Westport During Thunderstorm

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- As severe thunderstorms rocked Fairfield County on the eve of the Fourth of July, Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating were reporting power outages across the area.

Here are the outages as of 10:30 p.m. Thursday:  

  • Danbury: 511 customers without power, or 1 percent of the city
  • Darien: 1 customer without power
  • Easton: 628 customers without power, or 21.43 percent of the town  
  • Fairfield: 460 customers without power, or 1.93 percent of the town
  • New Canaan: 208 customers without power, or 2 percent of the town
  • Norwalk: 99 customers without power
  • Redding: 10 customers without power
  • Ridgefield: 27 customers without power
  • Stamford: 29 customers without power
  • Weston: 4 customers without power
  • Westport: 195 customers without power, or 3 percent of the town, down from more than 350
  • Wilton: 147 customers without power, or 2 percent of the town
