Westport resident Brian Turano of 103 Bradley Lane may think twice about where he parks his car in the future. At about 2:15 a.m. Saturday, police spotted Turano, 37, in his car, which was stopped in the traffic lane on Riverside Avenue at Saugatuck Avenue.
When officers drove up, it appeared that he was asleep. Upon approaching Turano's car, the officers could smell alcohol on his breath. Turano, who refused to take a breath test, failed field sobriety tests and was charged with operating under the influence and improper parking. He is due in court Sept. 13.
