Police Charge Ex-Westport Housekeeper With Theft

WESTPORT, Conn. – A Norwalk woman who worked as a housekeeper in Westport turned herself in to police Monday on a warrant charging her with stealing gift cards from her former employer, police said.

Margarita Flores-Garcia, 38, allegedly stole several gift cards valued at $125 from the homeowner over a period of time, police said. The warrant stemmed from an ongoing investigation.

Flores-Garcia was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released after posting $2,500 bond. She is due on court March 15.
