Police: Car, Laptop Taken in Westport Burglary

WESTPORT, Conn. – Westport police are searching for a grey Honda Civic 4-door sedan that was stolen from a home on Devon Road early Sunday morning, Sgt. Richard Frazier said in a statement.

At 6:19 a.m., police were called to a home on Devon Road on a report of a burglary. An HP laptop computer and a woman’s purse were stolen from inside, police said. The purse, later found outside, was missing $25 and the keys to the Honda, Fraizer said.

Fraizer said the home was burglarized sometime between 4 and 6 a.m.  The suspect, or suspects, entered the home through an unlocked back door. No one inside the home heard anything.

As of 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, the car has not been recovered. Police are asking anyone who sees a grey Honda with the license plates 561-YVT to call 911 or their local police department.

Anyone with any information about the burglary is urged to call the department at 203-341-6082.
