Play With Your Food at the Weston Library

WESTON, Conn. – Don't miss your chance to Play With Your Food on Tuesday, July 12, at the Weston Public Library . There are still some tickets available and spots must be reserved by Friday, July 8.

For the fourth consecutive year, this lunch and theatre special, presented by JIB Productions , will feature “Civilization” by Gary Dontzig, “A Betrothal” by Lanford Wilson and “Pillow” by Fredick Stroppel.

“Civilization” explores the quirky side of human relationships and discovers what you might find when you find yourself in the middle of nowhere.

“A Betrothal” asks what it takes for two people to make a connection. And “Pillow” is a raunchy, irreverent comedy featuring Weston actor Barbara Rhoades and Broadway veteran Mia Dillon.

Lunch is from noon to 12:30 p.m. and the plays are from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include a boxed lunch–catered by Peter's Weston Market–three plays and a post-performance discussion with the actors. Lunch options are chicken salad, ham and cheese or a veggie wrap.

Reservations are required and walk-ins are not allowed. Checks may be dropped off at the Weston Library with a lunch selection.

Weather permitting, lunch will be outside, so bring a blanket or chair. This event is underwritten by the Friends of the Weston Public Library .
