WESTPORT, Conn. A Fairfield woman who worked as a pharmacy technician in Westport was arrested on a warrant charging her with larceny, police said.
Jennifer Scarpelli, 26, who worked at Walgreens, attempted to steal five oxycontin pills in September, police said. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released after posting a $2,500 bond. She is due in court on Feb. 8.

? A Bridgeport man was charged with drunken driving after he was spotted driving with a sparking tire, police said. Police received a report of a Ford Expedition driving erratically on Riverside Avenue near the train station. When an officer located the SUV, its front passenger tire was completely flat and sparking, police said.
The driver, Benvennueta Kinlock, 43, smelled of alcohol and had glassy eyes, police said. He failed field sobriety tests and the results of his breath test were .16 and .15. He was additionally charged with unsafe tires and released after posting a $500 bond. He's due in court Monday.
