Owners Of Spotted Horse In Westport Honored For Preservation Work

WESTPORT, Conn. -- David Waldman and his partners who own the Spotted Horse Tavern in Westport were honored by Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation for the adaptive reuse of the John Sherwood Mansion that houses the tavern, according to the Westport News.

Waldman converted the mansion built in 1808 from a residential building to one suited for commercial use. His original intent was to demolish the home, but he was convinced to preserve it instead, the Westport News said.
