One Person Injured in Westport I-95 Crash

WESTPORT, Conn. – One person was sent to the hospital early Friday morning following a three-car crash on I-95 south in Westport, Assistant Fire Chief William Dingee reported.

The accident happened between exits 18 and 17 just after 1:15 a.m. Three cars and a sailboat trailer were heavily damaged. The driver of one of the cars complained of minor injuries and was transported to Norwalk Hospital by Westport EMS, Dingee reported.

Two of the cars and the sailboat trailer had to be towed from the accident scene. The third car was driven away. Firefighters cleaned up gasoline that was spilled during the accident.

The accident was cleared around 2:45 a.m.
