Norwalk Man Sentenced For Trafficking Drugs In Westport

NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was sentenced to 72 months of imprisonment and three years of supervised release for drug trafficking, according to Deirdre M. Daly, U.S. attorney for the District of Connecticut.

Konstantinos Zografidis, 54, was identified as a major distributor of oxycodone, cocaine and marijuana in Fairfield County. 

His conviction follows a yearlong investigation headed by the Drug Enforcement Administration's Bridgeport High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and Norwalk Police Department, with assistance from the Connecticut State Police and the Bridgeport, Stamford, Stratford and Westport police departments. 

Zografidis faces immigration proceedings upon completion of his sentence. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine on June 24, 2014.

Fifteen other individuals were convicted due to this investigation.
