Most of Easton to Have Power by Monday Night: Cops

EASTON, Conn. – Good news for Easton! Power was expected to be restored to a majority of Easton residents by Monday night, Police Capt. James Candee said Monday. “United Illuminating is telling us that everyone will be up and running this evening,” he said.

Several crews from Easton’s Department of Public Works, UI and AT&T were working throughout town in an effort to get power up and running. Work began in Easton Monday  morning, Candee said, and as of late morning there were still 933 residents without power.

“UI expects the number of those without power to be zero or at least close to zero by this evening," Candee said. "We do caution everyone that there are some low-hanging trees, so please drive with caution.”
