WESTPORT, Conn. Two Bridgeport residents were arrested in Westport on Tuesday afternoon after they were found in possession of more than $300 of stolen baby formula, police said.
Officers were called to CVS on Post Road East on a report that two black males made off with an unknown amount of baby formula. The caller told police the suspects left in a vehicle that headed east on the Post Road.
The car was later located in the Stop & Shop parking lot, with the suspects, Gregory and Anthony White, still inside. A total of 13 cans of baby formula, worth about $342, were found in plain sight in the back seat, police said.
Gregory, 33, and Anthony, 29, each was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Gregory was additionally charged with various motor vehicle violations.
Each man was released after posting $5,000 bond and are due in court Dec. 23.
