WESTPORT, Conn. Three men from New York were arrested Thursday afternoon in Westport after attempting to withdraw cash from someone elses bank account, police said.
Ramon Morales, 48, tried to use false identification to take $3,600 from an account at the Chase Bank at 184 Main St., police said. When the bank contacted police, officers arrived and arrested Morales. The false ID was found in his possession, police said.
Two other men 24-year-old Isiah Walker and 24-year-old Wayne Cintron were with Morales, police said. Walker was found across the street from the bank inside his car and Cintron was found walking away from the bank shortly after police arrived. Both men were arrested for their connection to the crime, police said.
All three men were charged with first-degree forgery, first-degree identity theft, possession of marijuana and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. Morales and Walker were held on a $25,000 bond and Cintron was held on a $10,000 bond.
