Westport resident John Conway of 117 Valley Road was arrested on a warrant Wednesday afternoon after a Sept. 27 incident in which he threatened suicide.
According to police, Conway, 40, threatened his own life after a domestic dispute with his wife. During the incident, Conway was reportedly armed with a black powder rifle and several swords. He also allegedly threatened to kill their pets.
Several roads near his home were closed during the incident, and his neighbors' homes were evacuated as well. Police said the warrant was obtained based on statements Conway made to his wife. He was charged with first-degree threatening and breach of peace. He is due in court Oct. 12.

? Djalma Ferreira, of Trumbull, turned himself in to Westport police Friday afternoon knowing the department held two warrants for his arrest. The warrant stems from a complaint made by L. H. Gault & Son that Ferreira, 28, had written them two checks in August totaling $4,226.73. The bank reportedly declined checks because of insufficient funds. Ferreira was charged with two counts of issuing a bad check and is due in court Oct. 11.
? Two Razor scooters were stolen Sunday in the rear parking lot of 124 Compo Road N. According to police, three friends went to the lot, put the scooters down. When they returned, two of the three were gone.
