WESTPORT, Conn. Westport resident Russell Reed was arrested Saturday on two warrants for violation of probation after he was spotted by an officer working the annual Westport Police Toy Drive, police said.
Reed, of 1655 Post Road E., was seen walking in the area of the toy drive outside 1550 Post Road E. by an officer who knew Reed was wanted by the police department. Once the warrant was verified, the officer learned Stamford police also want Reed for violation of probation.
Reed, 20, was held on $50,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 21.
