On Friday night around 10, Christian Figueroa was pulled over on Saugatuck Avenue for allegedly going through a flashing red light without stopping. When Figueroa, 48, was stopped, the officer smelled alcohol on his breath. Although he refused breath tests, Figueroa failed field sobriety tests and was charged with operating under the influence, operating an unregistered vehicle, insurance coverage below the minimum and failure to obey a control signal. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 10.
