WESTPORT, Conn. Norwalk resident Shaun Jarrett was arrested in Westport last Tuesday night and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Jarrett, 31, was pulled over for an equipment violation. When the officer approached the vehicle, an open bottle of beer was seen in plain sight, police said. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up marijuana and packaging commonly used for selling narcotics, police said.
Jarrett was charged with possession of less than 4 ounces marijuana and sale of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21.

A Westport man was arrested Friday night following a domestic dispute in which he was accussed of threatening two family members, police said. The man, of 30 Bulkley Ave. North, was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Monday.
