WESTON, Conn. -- William J. Gallagher, 24, of Stamford, was arrested on Saturday, July 2, and charged with filling a fake prescription for oxycodone at the Weston Center Shopping Plaza. Gallagher was charged with forgery in the first degree, criminal impersonation, forged prescription and forgery in the second degree.

Joan Williams of Stratford was transported to Norwalk Hospital after Danielle Rosen of Weston struck her Postal Service van on June 30, police reported. Williams was leaning over, getting items from the back of the postal van when it was struck, causing her to fall into the rear cargo area. Williams was stopped at 18 Godfrey Road. Rosen was traveling westbound and told police she attempted to go around the van but turned the steering wheel the wrong way, causing her to hit the rear end of the postal van.
