WESTPORT, Conn. A Bridgeport man was arrested by Westport police last week on a warrant charging him in a 2009 Westport home burglary, police said.
David Ortiz was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny Thursday in the Sept. 16, 2009 burglary of a home on Maple Avenue South in which a flat-screen TV and jewelry were stolen, police said. Police were led to Ortiz by fingerprint evidence recovered from the home, Capt. Sam Arciola said.
Ortiz, 42, was held on a $50,000 bond pending his arraignment.

? A Westport man was arrested Thursday night after results of a breathalyzer test showed he was three-times over the legal blood-alcohol limit to drive, police said.
Edward Younger, 57, of Hyatt Avenue, was spotted by an out-of-town, off-duty officer swerving on Saugatuck Avenue, police said. The off-duty officer called Westport police and stayed with Younger, who had pulled over, until officers arrived.
Police said Younger smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. The results of his breath test were .252 and .265. Younger was charged with operating under the influence, operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to drive right. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in court on Feb. 14.
