Westport resident Richard Parent, 56, was arrested Wednesday night on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge, police said.
The warrant, issued by Fairfield police, stems from a March 2010 arrest in which Parent, of 45 Jesup Road, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. He was unable to pay a $1,500 bond and was held until his scheduled court appearance Thursday.
Also from the police blotter:
Bridgeport resident Marco Montes was arrested May 27 in Westport after he was spotted drifting in and out of his traffic lane on Post Road East, police said. When Montes, 33, was stopped, the officer smelled alcohol on his breath. Montes failed field sobriety tests, and the results of his breath test were 0.1661 and 0.1665. The legal blood-alcohol limit is 0.08. Montes was charged with operating under the influence, driving without a license and failure to drive right. He was released after posting $500 bond and is due in court Monday.
