Louis Weinstein, Helped Found Sunrise Rotary

A memorial service was held Friday for former longtime Westport resident Louis K. Weinstein, a founding member and past president of the Sunrise Rotary Club who died April 20. He was 92.

Born Sept. 25, 1918, in New York City, Weinstein recently moved to Norwalk after living in Westport for more than 40 years. He was a graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in Manhattan and the New York University College of Commerce.

For more than 70 years, Weinstein worked as an accountant in the tri-state area.

He is survived by two daughters, Diana Press and Shelley Forrester, both of Norwalk; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Bertha Weinstein; and daughter, Nadine Lawton.

The memorial service was held in the Leo P. Gallagher and Sons Funeral Home in Stamford. Memorial donations may be made to Rotary International or Hadassah.
