WESTPORT, Conn. As summer winds down, Westport residents will notice fewer lifeguards at some town beaches. Effective Monday, lifeguards will be on staff at Burying Hill Beach only on the weekends, the Parks and Recreation Department announced.
Visitors to Burying Hill Beach during the weekdays before Labor Day should swim at their own risk.
Compo Beach will have lifeguards on duty every day through Labor Day. Residents who have questions can call the Parks and Recreation Department at 203-341-5090.
