EASTON, Conn. For two days in April, Easton will become a place filled with whodunits, mystery and murder as the Easton Public Library puts on its annual Murder 203: Connecticut Mystery Festival .
Murder 203 is a one-and-a-half-day conference for mystery fans and authors alike. It will take place on Saturday, April 14, and Sunday, April 15, at Helen Keller Middle School, 360 Sport Hill Road.
The guest of honor for this years event will be best-selling author Michael Palmer , who has written 16 novels on medical suspense. Oath of Office , his latest New York Times best-seller, deals with a respected physician who goes on a shooting rampage. Palmer has also written A Heartbeat Away, The Last Surgeon, The Second Opinion, The First Patient, The Fifth Vial" and The Society, among others.
Palmers books have been translated into 35 languages. He was a graduate of Wesleyan University and currently works an as associate director of the Massachusetts Medical Societys Physician Health Program.
Other noted guests include authors Cara Black, Cleo Coyle, Vincent ONeil, Chris Knopf, Edward Conlin, Hilary Davidson, Brad Parks, Robert Ellis, Kira Peikoff, Andrew Gross, Jessica Speart, Rosemary Harris, Steve Uldelder, Roberts Isleib and Daniel Judson.
The conference consists of continental breakfast on both mornings, followed by author panels, discussions and lunch. A Cocktails and Crime reception will be held on Saturday.
The fee is $75 for the entire weekend, $50 for Saturday, $25 for the cocktail reception or $25 for the Sunday program.
