EASTON, Conn. Thursday is the last day to register your child for these session programs at the Easton Community Center :
Indoor T-Ball : This class will teach beginners the basics of the game, such as base running, hitting and fielding, with a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship. It is open to children ages 4-6 and the cost is $70 for members and $90 for nonmembers. It will take place from 4-4:45 p.m. Thursdays. Children are asked to bring a glove.
Intro to Baseball : This indoor program will get children ready to hit pitched balls and learn more advanced skills, such as force outs, tagging runners, batting, catching and throwing skills. There will be a mini game after skill development sessions. Children also will learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship. The program is open to children who are ages 6 and up. It will be from 5-6 p.m. Thursdays. Children are asked to bring a glove. The cost of this program is $70 for members and $90 for nonmembers.
Break Dancing : This program is geared toward children, ages 6 and up, who already enjoy music, acrobatics and dancing. It will help build upper body strength, coordination and self-expression. This program is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays. The cost for the program is $60 for members and $80 for nonmembers.
Each of the programs is from March 8 through April 5 at the community center, 364 Sport Hill Road. Parents can register their child in person, by phone at 203-459-9700 or by fax at 203-445-1798.
