John R. Tedesco, Avid Fisherman

A Mass was celebrated Saturday at Assumption Church for lifelong Westport resident John R. Tedesco, who died on March 22 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was 77.

Tedesco was born May 1, 1933. He worked as a supervisor of the Credit and Collections Department of National CSS and later was employed by D&B Computing Services in Wilton. After retiring, he served as a traffic agent with the Westport Police Department.

Tedesco was an avid fisherman and also loved to golf. He was a former member of Westport Police Athletic League and a former member, past president and coach of the Westport Little League.

He was married to the late Frances Zuvich Tedesco. Survivors are a daughter, Jody Fontaine of Westport; two sons, John R. Tedesco Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Donald J. Tedesco of Colchester, Vt.; a sister, Mary Lincoln of East Hartford, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a brother, Lawrence D. Tedesco Sr., and a sister, Margaret Beirne.
