WESTPORT, Conn. – Ongoing repair work will once again close the Bridge Street swing bridge over the Saugatuck River on Wednesday, Westport First Selectman Gordon Joseloff announced.
The bridge, known officially as the William J. Cribari Bridge, will be closed to vehicular traffic twice between 9:30 a.m. and noon, Joseloff said. Each closure will last up to 30 minutes, he said. Pedestrian traffic will not be impeded by the closure.
Signs and markings for detour routes will be posted, Joseloff said.
Mechanical and electrical components of the bridge were damaged during Hurricane Sandy and have been under repair since February.
