Heavy Rain, Wind Likely In Westport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The next few days are likely to be pretty soggy and windy throughout Fairfield County. 

Heavy rain soaks the National Weather Service forecast for Friday and Saturday. There also is a slight chance of strong thunderstorms

Storms should move in about 10 a.m. Friday, with heavy rain and some gusty winds. The high should hit 80 degrees, the Weather Service says. 

Up to a half-inch of rain could fall during the day, and another three-quarters-of-an-inch could fall Friday night. 

Rain and gusty winds cold continue through Saturday, when the high will creep up to 82, the Weather Service says. The Sunday forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 82.
