Gubernatorial Hopeful David Walker To Address Bridgeport Rotary

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — David Walker, a gubernatorial hopeful, will speak on "Creating a Better Future in the U.S., Connecticut and Bridgeport" in an address Tuesday to the Bridgeport Rotary.

Walker, a resident of Bridgeport, is a CPA with over 40 years of leadership experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. He received appointments from Presidents Reagan, Bush and Clinton with unanimous confirmation by the U.S. Senate on all three occasions. 

He served as U.S. comptroller general, and most recently, Walker was the first Senior Strategic Advisor for PwC Public Sector. 

The meeting will be 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn, 1070 Main St.

A Republican, he formed an Exploratory Committee for the office of Governor of Connecticut in April.

The Rotary Club of Bridgeport is one of the oldest Rotary Clubs in the world. In more than 34,000 clubs worldwide, members volunteer in communities at home and abroad to support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, and eradicate polio.

The Rotary Club of Bridgeport meets on Tuesdays.
